Assessment Test Performance: The New Hampshire Educational Improvement and Assessment Program (NHEIAP) was established in 1993 to help assess education across the state. Starting in May of 1994, third graders attending public school were tested for the first time in English language arts and mathematics. Starting in May 1996, all sixth, and tenth graders were tested for the first time. (Sixth and tenth graders are also tested in science and social studies).
The state of New Hampshire compiles statistics on enrollment, student achievement, attendance, teacher salaries, etc. for each district, and compares them against state averages. For this information for grades K - 8, see the District Assessment pages for Bedford.
